CEO: Otkritie may privatize Rosgosstrakh, not to sell pension funds
VLADIVOSTOK, Sep 4 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Otkritie Financial Corporation (FC) Bank group is ready to privatize insurer Rosgosstrakh if it sees interest from investors, but sees no reason to privatize pension funds of the group, CEO Mikhail Zadornov told PRIME on Wednesday.
“There is almost no reason for privatization of non-government pension funds, but we are ready to consider privatization of a stake in Rosgosstrakh if any investor expresses interest in it,” he said.
In June, Zadornov said that the bank was preparing privatization of a 15–20% stake in it in 2021, and that a full privatization is possible in the future.
